Wakefactory is always hosting awesome events. And this year's Brake The Wake was no different. On August 6 and 7, Val Monte Resort in Guntersville, AL was host to a crew of rowdy wakeboarders that wanted to ride, party, and just have a great time. And a great time it was!

There were 3 features. A kicker, 40' wallride, and a 80' rooftop to flat.

Cash $$ was even in full affect. Wakeskate got $250 for best hit on each. Advanced was $100 for best trick on each feature. And open wakeboard was $500 for best hit on each.

Everyone killed it and thanks to Dustin and the whole Wakefactory team for making the event possible!

Wakefactory hosted Spring 2 Summer once again, and like every year, did it bigger and better. Taking place in Guntersville AL, the party of the summer went down, and it was a great time. Brake The Wake rail jam kicked off the weekend Friday night. The boat tournament followed on Saturday and Sunday with the coveted "golden ticket" and lots of cash prizes up for grabs. Riders as young as 12 to up and coming riders from all over the southeast showed up to compete. If you weren't there, you missed a great weekend! So make sure to make it next year. Started the day off with a very short lived winch session compliments of the fun police.

Shred Ready Texas Tour Update

The first 3 days of the Texas tour with a few members of the wake team. From Auburn, riders Jeff Mathis, Alex Graydon, Chris Moore, David Luker, myself, Dewey Green to help film and organizer Sarah Giffard, first stopped in Valdosta, GA to pick up team member Quinn Silvernale. After an eventful graduation, the white van headed to Texas for a long 14 hr drive.

We made it in time for Day 2's sunrise in Houston, slept a few hours and got up to ride the brand new Wake Nation park in Houston. Thanks to all the staff there for making it a great time! That night Chris Hopf of the East Coast Wake Park arrived.

Day 3 had us drive up to the Texas Ski Ranch. Amidst strong winds, the riders got out there and had a few fun sets.

Birthed in a dumpster behind a Chinese joint, Dead?Wait! clambered to the surface to discover a whole new world. Curious as to why people were disgusted when Dead?Wait! was originally seen in public, the two fine young cannibals stumbled across some mirrors in an abandoned gas station bathroom.

Don't you dare shut your eyes! Realizing that the two star struck lovers were quite hideous, they quickly stitched together some rags to hide their mean mugs. Problem solved! Or was it?

These double dragons were broke, smelly, and possibly lobotomized from day one. Bumping their noggins together they soon realized that they both shared an instinctual affinity for odd music and off putting visuals.

Now... that's just about all these two are good at, so if they ain't worth their salt at this, it may be time to hail a cab, pick the lock on a hotel room door, empty a bottle of baby's chewable Tylenol, and sit back and relax as they sink into the big hovel in the sky... or lake of coals.

Eddie Gold today finds himself in the place of those he used to hype, transitioning himself from a one act pony to a reputable show horse in the process. Having evolved through a myriad of sounds and styles in the process, Mr. Gold draws from this variety of approaches to augment and reinforce his Dubstep sound. Easily setting himself apart from the rest of the pack with his arsenal of dubs, Eddie Gold leaves dance floors begging for more with his fresh sound and approach. The scene is taking notice: as his calendar fills with dates and he finds himself presented with new opportunities further and further from home. Which is not to say that the home front for Gold is lacking by any means; not merely content with performing, this man also constitutes one half of Kush Productions, attracting names from around the globe and continuing the tradition of excellent Dubstep events on the Emerald Coast via Pensacola Fl.

After reconstructive ACL/meniscus surgery 6 months ago...non-stop therapy...and lots of hatred towards the knee, the doctor tells me i'm free to get back on the water. So less than 24 hours later, I break the new knee in!
